Recently, the Integrity Grid Construction Project Team of the Group Audit and Supervision Centre carried out integrity training, symposiums and other related activities in CDM, MIKAS, PLZ, South Africa Company and Huashun Company in the African region, organically combining training, publicity and supervision, strengthening integrity education, and promoting the construction of integrity and compliance to a new level.

On June 29th, the project stationing meeting was held in the group’s management headquarters of Africa region, and Xi Hong, general manager of the Audit and Supervision Centre, Shen Jianqing, general manager of the management headquarters of Africa region, as well as senior leaders and department heads attended the meeting. At the meeting, Xi Hong, General Manager of the Audit and Supervision Centre, said that in the face of the business development opportunities in the African region, the leading cadres should strive to play an exemplary role, set strict requirements for themselves, and further improve the transparent and efficient management system.

Shen Jianqing, general manager of the African regional management headquarters, made a summary statement on the current situation of integrity and compliance construction,  measures, work requirements and plans, pointing out that the system mechanism in the company's management is the bottom line, cultural construction is the foundation, we need to strengthen the organisational leadership further, improve the internal control management and the ability to prevent risks, so that we can enable the culture of integrity to take root in people's hearts, to protect a good team from harm and the healthy development of the company.

 On July 9, at the project stationing meeting held in Zimbabwe, Zhu Haijun, general manager of PLZ, said that with the continuous expansion of business, it is necessary to set up a good culture of integrity in this young company of PLZ, lay a good foundation of compliance, strengthen the process improvement and improve the level of internal control. Integrity management work needs to start from the smallest detail, and leading cadres need to play an exemplary role.

In order to further promote the communication and synergy between business departments and audit departments, during the project construction period, the Integrity Grid Construction Project Team carried out online and offline forums with various departments of CDM, MIKAS, PLZ, South Africa Company and Huashun Company. At the meeting, the two sides discussed and studied the risk points, control measures, business coordination and decision-making matters that might be encountered in the business process, improved the understanding of potential risks, found and optimised the deficiencies in the business process, enhanced work efficiency, strengthened the ability of self-supervision and risk management, and safeguarded the stable and healthy development of the business.

 During the project, the Integrity Grid Construction Project Team coordinated eight integrity training sessions to carry out targeted publicity for leading cadres and grassroots employees.  Through a series of real-life cases, the sessions enhanced the participants' understanding of the risks that may be encountered in the operation of the enterprise, consolidated the value of “Integrity and Honesty” and combined the deterrent force of not daring to rot, the binding force of not being able to rot, and the appealing force of not wanting to rot to exert force in the same direction comprehensively.

A transparent and efficient supply chain management system is an important cornerstone for healthy operation of enterprises. The Integrity Grid Construction Project Team held face-to-face meetings with 20 suppliers from CDM, MIKAS and PLZ. At the meeting, Zhao Yan, Vice Minister of the Supervision Department, introduced the national anti-corruption policy, Huayou's rules and regulations and typical cases of violation, and emphasised that Huayou would adhere to the principle of honesty and integrity, and promote the common development of both sides based on the long-term cooperative relationship of mutual respect and trust. Both parties reached a consensus on the business principle of integrity and fairness, and discussed the possible risks in the process of cooperation and the proposed measures to improve the efficiency of cooperation, so as to jointly maintain a fair and efficient cooperative partnership.

The successful conclusion of the African Regional Integrity Grid Construction Project marks that the company has taken a solid step forward in the construction of overseas integrity and compliance. In the future, we will continue to make efforts to enhance the effectiveness of supervision by grid management, continuously improve the level of the company's integrity and compliance construction, and promote the sustainable and healthy development of the enterprise.
