On 10 April, Chen Xuehua, Chairman of the Group, visited Zimbabwe Prospect Lithium Company to inspect and guide the Arcadia Lithium Project. Fang Qixue, Senior Vice President of the Group, and the key person in charge of each segment of the project accompanied the visit and attended the meeting.

Mr Chen highly affirmed the results of the project team's work and praised the project team's spirit of self-improvement and hard work. As the vanguard of the Group's first foray into the lithium industry, since the commencement of the project in June 2022, we have made concerted efforts, united as one to build the world's first lithium mining project of the scale of a single unit in just nine months, and to complete and put into production one month ahead of schedule. Mr. Chen said that the Arcadia project, as an important milestone for Huayou to enter the lithium industry, has achieved symbolic results in terms of construction speed, process improvement and management enhancement, and thanked the project team for their hard work, and the next step should be to give full play to the resource advantages, overcome the difficulties, and continue to maintain the high-quality development. The successful shipment of the first batch of concentrate back to China in April 2023 marks a new benchmark for the Arcadia lithium project in terms of unit scale, construction speed and commissioning time in the global lithium materials industry.

The year 2024 is the year of "Ten-year Mission Completed in Five". Huayou will combine its own technology with the advantages of Zimbabwe's lithium resources to further process the lithium concentrates produced by the Arcadia Lithium Project, opening up a cost-saving, green and low-carbon path to sustainable development. The Zimbabwe Prospect Lithium team will engage in production, promote the company's high-quality development with firm confidence, and work hard to complete the annual target tasks.
