On 21 April, Huaneng New Material Indonesia successfully laid the foundation stone for its ternary precursor project in IWIP Park (WedaBay Industrial Park), North Maluku Regency, Maluku Province, Indonesia, marking the start of the construction journey of Huayou's non-FEOC capacity project in Indonesia.

The successful landing of Huayou's Indonesia precursor project, with an annual output of 50,000 tonnes of ternary precursor materials for power batteries, is a major initiative of Huayou in response to the "Belt and Road" strategy, and another significant achievement of accelerating the layout of key overseas regions, emancipating the mindset, upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground, and developing the market, and a major landmark project to enhance the capacity for sustainable development.

Meanwhile, on the morning of 23 April, the first batch of materials related to the construction of the Indonesian precursor project were loaded and shipped to Indonesia in Shanghai port after the customs clearance procedures were completed quickly.

Huayou has always been practicing the investment philosophy of "Wherever we invest, we must contribute to the local economy and society." After the project is completed and put into operation, it will effectively promote the rapid development of Indonesia's new energy industry, and drive the upgrading of the related industrial chain. At the same time, the construction and operation of the project can also provide a large number of jobs for the local people and help the local economic development in Indonesia.
