The 23rd National Work Safety Month 

The theme is "Everyone talks about safety, everyone knows how to respond to emergencies.--Smooth the Life Channel".

On 2 June, the kick-off meeting of the 2024 Work Safety Month of Huayou Cobalt was held at the Group's headquarters. The purpose of the meeting is to implement the requirements and deployment of the national June Work Safety Month, adhere to the safety and environmental protection concept of "safety and environmental protection are of the utmost importance", improve the level of production safety and ensure the safe development of the company. Group President Chen Hongliang attended the meeting and put forward work requirements.

"Without safety, there is no development. Without high-level safety, there is no high-quality development." Chen Hongliang said, we should always practice the safety and environmental protection concept of "safety and environmental protection are of the utmost importance", enhance the safety production capacity, improve the level of safety production, and ensure the company's high-quality development with a high level of safety. The group should take the "safety month" as an opportunity to create an atmosphere of safety production with full attention and participation, and strive to improve the safety quality of all staff and the company's safety level. In this regard, Chen Hongliang put forward three requirements.

According to the unified deployment of the company, all industryl groups, overseas bases and functional departments should implement the concept of “safety and environmental protection are of the utmost importance”, strengthen the organisation and of the work safety month activities, and transform the concept of safety and environmental protection into safety responsibility, safety measures, and safety management, which will be put into practice and be effective to ensure the safety of employees' lives and escort the company's high-quality development.

Representatives of various industry groups and subsidiaries made statements.

Wu Zhanjun, general manager of the Group's Safety and Environment Management Centre, read out the programme of activities for the Work Safety Month and made a safety and environment management analysis report, analysing the safety situation currently faced by the Group and requesting all the staff to work together, take precautions, turn passive into active, and escort the company's operation and production.

The company's president assistant and other leaders, cadres of each industry group and headquarters functional departments, safety and environmental personnel and other designated personnel to participate in this kick-off meeting. In addition to the main venue in Tongxiang, cadres and all safety and environmental personnel from Quzhou, Guangxi, Tianjin, Chengdu, Nanjing, Indonesia, Africa and other branch venues participated in the meeting through live video streaming.
