Recently, Huayou Cobalt's subsidiaries, Huayou New Energy Technology (Quzhou) Co., Ltd. and Tianjin B&M Science and Technology Co., Ltd. have been awarded the certificate of "Manufacturing Individual Champion Enterprises" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Previously, Huayou Cobalt's "Tricobalt Tetraoxide" has won the crown of "Manufacturing Single Champion Product".

Manufacturing single champion refers to enterprises (products) that have long been focusing on specific segments of the manufacturing industry, with internationally leading production technology or process level, and with single product market share ranking among the top in the world or in the country, recognised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and is known as the "pearl in the crown of the manufacturing industry". The two important honours of "Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise" and "Manufacturing Single Champion Product" mean that Huayou Cobalt's deep ploughing in niche fields has been recognised at the national level, and it is also an authoritative certification of Huayou Cobalt's global leading position.

Huayou Cobalt has always been adhering to the "innovation-driven" development strategy, focusing on innovation and breakthroughs, and continuing to make high-intensity investment, with a cumulative R&D investment of more than 3.9 billion yuan in the past three years, and the construction of the "national enterprise technology centre", "national postdoctoral research workstation", "new energy battery materials provincial key enterprise research institute" and other high-level R&D centres and institutes. It is the first to overcome the ultra-narrow distribution of large particles of precursor preparation technology, multi-element spray pyrolysis oxides green preparation technology, and high-nickel precursor crystallization orientation control technology, etc with 459 nationally authorised patents, two scientific research achievements - Development of new equipment for reaction crystallisation of lithium precursors and intelligent manufacturing of high-end anode materials" and "High-efficiency and low-carbon treatment technology and application of lithium solid waste with whole-process optimisation" were awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award for the year of 2023, which has injected a strong impetus for the promotion of the industry's high-quality and sustainable development by means of high technology.

In terms of product quality and standard leadership, Huayou Cobalt has spared no effort in drafting 218 standards, and led the formulation of two Zhejiang manufacturing standards, namely "Tricobalt Tetraoxide" and "Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese Composite Hydroxide". Zhejiang manufacturing standards are much higher than national standards, industry standards, comparable to European and American standards, and in line with the international advanced level, which are synonymous with high-end manufacturing and quality. In 2023, Huayou Cobalt's tricobalt tetraoxide and nickel-cobalt-manganese composite hydroxide passed the certification of "Defined Quality" of Zhejiang Manufacturing, which further highlights the extraordinary strength and excellence of Huayou Cobalt's products in the field of high-end manufacturing with high standards.
