On 9th September, Huayue Nickel & Cobalt (Indonesia) Sdn Bhd passed the audit and obtained the Gold (highest level) SMK3 Occupational Safety and Health Certificate issued by the Ministry of Labour of Indonesia, becoming the first enterprise among more than 50 enterprises in IMIP Park to obtain this certification.

The Indonesian Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) was established by the Indonesian government to protect workers from occupational safety and health risks in the work environment. The implementation of SMK3 has been proven to bring benefits to both workers and companies, not only by increasing efficiency and productivity, but also by reducing company operating costs by minimising risks and preventing losses caused by accidents, and improving relationships with stakeholders.

Huayue’s SMK3 audit and the highest level of Gold Certificate accreditation marks the company's highest level of recognition from the Indonesian Ministry of Labour in terms of occupational safety and health management!
