On 20 September, the certification ceremony of Huayou Cobalt's integrated compliance management system for new energy lithium materials was held at the company's headquarters in Tongxiang, marking that the company has become the first enterprise in the world to complete the construction and certification of an integrated compliance management system for new energy lithium materials, and has achieved significant results in industrial chain compliance and globalisation compliance.

Tatiana Schmollack-Tarasova, General Manager of BSI Greater China, said that as the world's first new energy lithium materials company to benchmark ISO 37301, Huayou Cobalt has taken the initiative to embrace the international standard of compliance management system, which fully demonstrates that the company attaches great importance to compliance and its determination to fully converge with international standards. BSI fully recognises Huayou Cobalt's efforts and achievements in establishing and maintaining a high-standard compliance management system, and this certification further highlights that Huayou Cobalt has stepped up to a new level in terms of compliance management and integrity development in the global new energy lithium materials industry, and has set up a model and benchmark for compliance management in the industry.

The ceremony for the certification of Huayou Cobalt's integrated compliance management system for new energy lithium materials was held during the meeting. Seven subsidiaries of Huayou, both domestic and overseas, officially received the BSI ISO 37301:2021 and GB/T35770-2022 certification certificates, making them the world's first (both domestically and internationally) certified new energy lithium material enterprises. The seven subsidiaries are: Prospect Lithium Zimbabwe (Private) Limited, Huayue Nickel Cobalt (Indonesia) Co., Ltd., Quzhou Huayou Cobalt New Material Co., Ltd., Huayou New Energy Technology (Quzhou) Co., Ltd., Guangxi Huayou Lithium Industry Co., Ltd., Quzhou Huayou Resource Recycling Technology Co., Ltd., and Zhejiang Huayou Circular Technology Co., Ltd.

Representatives of the certified companies made speeches and promised to attach great importance to compliance management as always, strictly abide by all laws and regulations and enterprise rules and regulations, and continuously deepen and improve the level of compliance management. 

At the ceremony, Zhang Jiangbo, Director of the Legal Department, released a promotional video on Huayou's compliance.

Wang Qingyang, Regional Sales Director of China, Yang Fan, Senior Business Development Manager of China, heads of relevant functional units of Huayou headquarters, and representatives of each certified company attended the meeting. In addition to the main venue in Tongxiang, cadres and employees of Quzhou, Yulin, Zimbabwe and Indonesia branch venues watched and listened to the ceremony via live video streaming.
