On December 20th, the "HUAYOUgx" brand electrolytic nickel (electro-winning process, Ni99.96) produced by Guangxi Huayou New Materials Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Huayou Cobalt, was successfully registered on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE). The registered production capacity is 30,000 tons.

The Shanghai Futures Exchange is one of China's four authoritative exchanges, with stringent requirements for product quality, corporate management, and market recognition of brands eligible for registration and delivery. SHFE boasts high-availability and high-performance trading, settlement, and risk control systems, ensuring real-time efficiency and secure reliability in remote transactions through large-capacity fiber optics and data lines. Upholding its responsibility to serve the real economy, SHFE provided solid support for the successful registration of the "HUAYOUgx" delivery brand.

Since March 2024, the company has been actively communicating with SHFE. After rigorous on-site inspections and sample testing, SHFE finally certified that the "HUAYOUgx" brand electrolytic nickel produced by Huayou Cobalt meets all the requirements for a delivery brand, allowing it to be listed as such. Henceforth, electrolytic nickel bearing the "HUAYOUgx" logo will once again enter the hearts of customers.

The "HUAYOUgx" brand electrolytic nickel is the first product from the Yulin factory to complete registration with SHFE, following its successful registration with the London Metal Exchange (LME) in April 2024. The product uses high-grade nickel and MHP raw materials produced by Huayou Cobalt, employing atmospheric pressure and oxygen pressure efficient combined leaching processes. This method offers three major advantages: low carbon emissions, short process integration, and automated efficiency. Raw materials undergo staged leaching, semi-extraction, and electro-winning processes, resulting in products meeting the Ni9999 standard, characterized by high purity, low impurities, high solubility, and corrosion resistance. These characteristics make them widely applicable in high-temperature alloy fields such as aerospace, automotive, seawater desalination, oil, chemicals, shipbuilding, medical materials, and high-end electronic components for plating markets.

With this achievement, both the Quzhou and Yulin factories under Huayou Cobalt have now obtained dual registrations from SHFE and LME, providing robust support for the highest liquidity of their electrolytic nickel products in the market!
