During the symposium, Secretary Guo expressed heartfelt gratitude to Huayou Cobalt Industry for their long-term support towards Northeastern University. He emphasized that Northeastern University would align its goals with national needs, further strengthening cooperation with enterprises, especially leading industry companies. Secretary Guo mentioned that the cooperation between Northeastern University and Huayou has been fruitful, pioneering a new model for joint talent cultivation involving universities, enterprises, and foreign governments. Huayou’s donations to Northeastern University fully demonstrate the company's sense of social responsibility. He hoped that both sides could leverage the university's academic strengths and Huayou's industrial advantages to conduct comprehensive cooperation in areas such as industry-education collaborative education, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and international exchanges. This aims to build an innovation community in the field of new energy minerals and materials, and a strategic community targeting Indonesia, ASEAN, and co-building countries along the "Belt and Road", contributing to building a strong science and technology nation and serving the construction of Chinese modernization.
